We got to see Astra's good work first-hand, as Bert was the primary contractor
on a friend's basement. He turned an unused, unfinished room into a beautiful
suite for their live-in mother. What was once a cold cement floor and walls of
mortar, became a fantastic and warm two-room apartment, complete with French
doors, textured paints, and a beautiful bathroom.
After seeing that finished product, we hired him to come to our home and upgrade
our front door and my home office. Not only did he do a terrific job, but he was
prompt, courteous, conscientious, and he also suggested using more "green"
(nature-sensitive) adhesives.
This year, after a downstairs pipe burst, our basement flooded and Bert came
back to our home and re-did our children's play room. His use of some
"child-safety" features once again showed us we made the right choice in
contractors. He comes highly recommended.
